Luttman-Johnson Challenge back in Feb for another action packed daySo the wacky race is back and it is time to start choosing your costume! Basically you have to dress up in the most unusual and un-skiable outfit you can find and then race down the slopes of Zermatt.

Bizarre fancy dress
If you’re wondering what the Ski Club Luttman-Johnson Challenge is all about, basically it is a chance to dress up in weird and wonderful outfits with all of your friends and co-workers, and make pit-stops at as many mountain restaurants as possible!

This event has been run by The Ski Club for over 30 years in the Swiss resort of Zermatt and this February, for one day only, the slopes will once again be filled with nuns, bears, Mexicans, morph suits and whatever else bizarre fancy dress you can think of.

The event will take place on 1 February 2012 and the aim is to race between pre-assigned mountain restaurants between 8.30am and 4pm, going as fast as possible between each restaurant.

You can enter the Trail (for those who prefer a more relaxed pace) or the Race (for the more serious competitors). The number of restaurants to visit varies depending on whether you enter the Race or the Trail.

To enter the Challenge head to a Ski Club Leader in resort prior to the event, during their social hour at the Hotel Pollux from 6.30pm, but you can also enter on the day.

To express an interest in the event or for more information, please email kate.thorman@skiclub.co.uk.
