The frameless design offers you plenty more peripheral vision and it makes changing lenses even easier. Will Howard, the founder and CEO of Dragon told Trans World Snowboarding: “It was really exciting working on the APX Goggle, as we put together all of our experience in the snow market over the last 15 years and this new ground breaking lens technology to make one of our best products ever. “The whole idea was to reduce the frame without reducing the goggle’s footprint. This creates better vision and superior function for riders who really care about enhancing their performance.” The goggles have undergone plenty of testing and were designed at the APX Research and Development cabin in Colorado’s backcountry. They have been designed to withstand some of the harshest and demanding conditions and have been tested by some of the world’s best snowboarders. There are plenty of styles of APX goggle; you can get them in a vast array of designs and colours. I am not sure if they are a good looking set or not. I prefer the Electric goggles of seasons gone by but if I got the chance to try a pair of frameless goggles out, I am sure I would say yes. |
