Feeling good about pre season snow |

The excitement of the up and coming winter is building. There is a lot of chat about it in our forum and on the Natives.co.uk Facebook page making us dream of the snow. So when we were invited to talk to the kids from the charity Snow Camp on the graduate program at We jumped at the chance. The graduate program is held at Hemel Snow Centre and introduces inner-city young people to skiing, snowboarding as well as providing life-skills. We went along to convince them on the benefits and rewards or doing a winter season. I think we convinced a few to try it out, lets be honest who could resist. Once our good deeds had been done the lovely people at The Ski Center kindly lets us play on their slope. While it is not easy to please extensively wintered seasonaires with a 160m slope our attention was kept for a full two hours. The initial excitement of getting the kit out pulling the boots on and letting the rails touch the snow for the first I did think that it was a long way to go from our south London home for a small bit of snow. But I turns out that it did not take to long to get to Hemel Hempstead at all. And with a bit of charity work thrown in, it was a very nice way to get some pre season snow. time in half a year was pretty good. A few runs in and it we were back to old form. Once the buzz of being on some snow was starting to wane, it was time to hit the rails and kickers. Im told that it's even better on proper park nights.
