We Are Snowboarding (WAS) was set up to give all snowboarders a voice within the world of competitive snowboarding. It was started to help riders to have their say in making sure the sport progresses in the correct way, helping to establish a healthy competitive schedule that benefits the competition circuit, the sport, the athletes, the sponsors, the media, and also the end viewer.

In the build up to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, many people within the snowboarding world have been unhappy that the qualification system for the games has been left in the hands of the FIS.

So, in order to have the voice of the average snowboarder heard WAS have drafted a letter which is aimed at the IOC HQ. It simply asks them to take into consideration the opinions and requests of the snowboarding community.

WAS are asking you, if you have issues with the FIS having control over the Olympic qualifying contests without listening to the riders’ and TTR’s concerns, to join the campaign and send the letter on.
