Take part in teh London Santa Run and raise money for Disability Snowsport UKDisability Snowsport UK is fantastic national charity which provides disabled people with access to snowsports and other activities.

A wonderful cause
They offer fun, exciting and life enhancing activities for individuals or groups who require adaptive equipment and/or special instruction and support.

The main aim of the organisation is to make snowsports accessible to everyone and in doing this they have broken down many barriers.

Disability Snowsport UK help disabled people get involved in the sports in a variety of ways. They have adaptive snowsports schools throughout the UK; they run a schools and youth programme; and they have a network of local groups which meet regularly at dry slopes and snowdomes across the UK.

There are also plenty of overseas activity weeks in Europe and North America and training programmes for instructors, volunteers and ski centre staff.

You can help the charity raise money by taking part in this year’s London Santa Run. This is a 6km run that is taking place on Saturday 3rd December, where everyone entering in the race has to dress up like good old Father Christmas.

This will be the sixth year of the run which will take place at Battersea Park and there will be prizes for the highest fundraiser and goodie bags for all the other participants. To register for the London Santa Run, visit www.runnersworld.co.uk today.

This is a fantastic charity that are doing a lot for disabled people, so show your support and pop along to the event.

Disability Snowsport UK are always looking for people to help out and volunteer. Without their volunteers, the charity would be unable to do the work it does. Volunteers help out by assisting the skiers with travelling to and from resort, on slope activities and they also help out with things in the hotel; from assisting with meal times, evening activities and also getting involved in the fun too.
