The app has been released on iTunes and is not a game (the creators were adamant about that) works like this. You shake your phone, as you would a dice, and it comes up with certain trick combinations. The first die tells you whether the trick should be performed in switch or in regular; the second die decides on the ammoung of spins required; and the third tells you which grabs to pull. Then all you have to do is go and pull whatever trick is on the screen. This is a simple idea that will hopefully be lighing up the parks across the globe as freeskiers try new and varied tricks. Wells spoke to ESPN saying: "Right now the range is from straight airs to 1080s, spinning both directions. "We have six different grab options and we also have a wild card that'll let you choose what grab you want to do." This is another example of the snow sports industry steadily moving forward with technical advances. The ‘Ski Dice’ app is available on iTunes and can be bought for $1.99 (US dollars) When speaking to ESPN, Wells said that he skis with his iPhone every day and added: "it's got me throwing tricks I've never done before." This app will no doubt be a popular one in the parks this coming winter. 'Ski Dice' from Ski Dice on Vimeo. |
