If you have chosen to defer entry to uni to have a year of freedom before getting bogged down with more studying, or if you didn't quite get the grades you were after, and would rather not opt for a course or uni you're not really interested in by going through clearing, then you have plenty of exciting options waiting for you with Natives!

We also have two jobs fairs coming up in a couple of months: our Natives Jobs Fair in London takes place on Saturday 23rd October 2010, during the London Ski Show, Olympia 20 - 24 October 2010; and we also have Natives Jobs Fair at the Scottish Ski Show at the SECC in Glasgow on 16 - 17 October 2010.

Chalet Cookery Courses:

An invCookery coursealuable experience to help secure a ski/snowboard seaon job is to attend a chalet cookery course. Natives offers several different 5 day courses which will teach you exactly what you need to go and be a chalet chef. We also try to our students season jobs, with an extremely high success rate.

Most of our courses are now sold out this year, but we do still have a few spaces left at our alpine cookery courses, near Morzine and we do have just one space left on next week's course in Surrey - hurry if you want it! Find out more about our chalet cookery courses here. We also introduced a new surf and cookery course this year which was a real success so more of those will be returning next year!

Instructor Courses:
If you simply would like to improve your level of skiing or boarding, or are already a pretty advanced skier or boarder and are keen to hone in your skills to become an instructor, then Natives has partners out in the alps who will help you gain a professional qualification so you can then go and teach out in the alps. Find out more here. There are also specialist boot fitting courses from just £150 with Profeet which you can read about here.

Finally for the ultimate gap year experience, you could combine a summer season surfing with a ski/snowboard winter season in the alps. You will travel to South Africa, learn to surf, become a surf instructor and lifesaver, get involved with community projects, gain a cookery qualification, and spend your winter season as a chalet worker in a European ski resort, click here for more info.
